Do ellipticals really do anything? I always feel like I don’t get a good workout on them….but I need to incorporate new and different cardio exercises I think to see some more changes.

I really don’t want to do spin class or anything on a bike.

Can treadmills cause shinsplints and heal pains?

I workout probably 3-5 times per week and sometimes use the treadmill. When I do though, I end up getting severe heal pains and have to stop, but this doesn’t always happen on the elyptical. Could it be the way I’m running on the treadmill or just weak heals?

I would like to lose weight, obviously. I am going to Walmart this week and I am interested in their ellipticals. I’ve read a lot of internet articles about ellipticals and they seem popular.

I’m skeptical about an elliptical because they don’t look like much of a workout. They simulate walking, no? Walking isn’t really much of a workout.

What do you think about ellipticals? Are they effective? What is your experience with them?
