Is it better to do the workout programs on treadmills or just run?

You know how treadmills have "weight loss programs" or "aerobic programs"? Will you lose more weight faster by doing one of those or just simply running on a treadmill?

I normally run outside but it’s starting to get cold and I am wondering if I will lose progress during the winter if I am running on a treadmill instead of outside. I also lift weights and crunches. Plan to join in 1 year.

I want to get into shape for cross country- how hard will it be to swich from treadmill running (with slight incline) to running outside??

I just want to lose a few pounds, and I’m gonna start running, on a treadmill, then after a few weeks, I’ll start on trails and other places and time my self. Is this any good?
I’m a Freshie, and I just want to more running sports, like cross country or track and field.

what will walking, jogging, then running on a treadmill (i will build myself up each day so i can start running) for 2 hours a day do?

how much weight will i loose if i eat normal (a little junk food but not too much and then i eat medium sized proportions) in a month?
what muscle will i gain and where?
any other details/tips would be wonderful!
im not fat at all, just stubborn lower stomach fat.

i weigh 115 and im 5’4.

i have really skinny bones and i want to gain muscle in them but loose stomach fat.
